The start of wine, bread & cheese tasting season!

My late husband Dave used to say, “make your vocation your vacation”

I have embraced this, along with many of his other one liners over the years. Lately I have been thinking about what my passions in life are and where I want to take my business. This thought process has led me to realize that I am currently passionate about art, food, wine and of course, Boxers. We will continue to offer our current services in addition to our new venture, Bord & Pillar.

That being said, I am making some changes to CCDC. We’re in the process of adding a specialty food shop with all Biodynamic, Organic and Sustainable Wines, Beers and Ciders at a great price point. We have been sampling breads, cheeses and spreads in search of the finest organic foods in the Pacific Northwest. We hope to locally source as many of our products as possible. I am currently adding a commercial kitchen incorporating the AGA that I have always been so fond of, as well as, a wood fired brick oven and a sous vide oven.

Beginning Memorial weekend, I plan to host wine tastings on Saturdays and Sundays from 2-4 PM. Come by and relax in the sunshine on our outside deck or cozy up by the fire inside while sampling locally baked breads and artisan cheeses paired with our wine, beer and cider selection. In addition to weekly wine and cheese tastings, I plan to offer cooking classes from renowned chefs and many other special offerings and events.
